I was browsing Facebook this weekend, checking some of the tornado-relief groups out there. On one of them, I ran across this image:
There was a conversation ongoing in this Facebook group about what is "up and left" from the hand in the image - the question has been asked: is that the outline of an angel in the radar data over Perry County.
The instant I saw the image, something unmistakable hit me - that is OUR radar here at WSFA. I use this every day, so as soon as I saw the zoomed-in imagery, I was sure it was ours. So, as there were already questions being asked about the image's authenticity, I captured a screen shot:
I can verify that the image above was taken from our tornado coverage on April 27, 2011 - this image comes from roughly 9:55pm.
Skeptics will likely contend that it's a blip in the data or a coincidence, and that's their prerogative. I'm not here to evangelize. I can confirm that the imagery is unaltered and it is indeed taken from WSFA's coverage of the horrible tornado day of April 27.
We've all seen the hurt and heartache in our state over the past few weeks, yet the faith of most of those affected has been unshaken. I've heard people who lost family members and all of their possessions still holding strong to their faith. Is this a sign? You tell me...

I do see the image but it should have been over our county because we were so lucky here.

Wow... Stuff like this always serves as a reminder of what a strong hold myths & magic still have on Americans. Yeah- I'm sure "god" must really love Alabama, that's why he sent all those tornadoes & didn't kill TOO many people!
Get real. There's no such things as angels, demons, ghosts or anything like that. That's a storm cloud, not an angel. You're only seeing an angel because you WANT to see an angel, it's simple psychological phenomenon.

Thanks for sharing---we were so close to the Elmore County fatalities but were spared!!! Prayers are for those affected and praying to discover why I was spared!!! The angel image is amazing!!!

This is like looking at a picture of a bomb shaped like an angel being dropped over a city and saying it was a blessing from god.

To the one who disagrees that God did send His angels...I know what hundreds and myself included, were praying. God did not send the tornadoes BUT He did send His angels to watch over and protect us all, including you, from the second tornado. My God is not a myth, He is alive and definitely real. Thanks to WSFA for sharing this with us.

IT DOES LOOK LIKE AN ANGEL PLAYIN A TRUMPET. I THINK THAT IF PEOPLE ARE NOT SAVED THEY NEED TO GET SAVED BECAUSE THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE MANY SIGNS THAT THE TIME IS VERY CLOSE. HE IS SO PRECIOUS THAT HE MADE SURE THE ANGELS WERE WATCHING OVER HIS PEOPLE. EVEN THOUGH MANY PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES, GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL LOOK AT THE RADAR AND U WILL SEE. GET UR LIVES RIGHT WHILE U ARE STILL HERE
